Daredevil pro-BMXer Ryan Taylor is a creator unlike any other, with an unstoppable need to excite in everything he does. An adventurer and risk-taker, he’s climbed unbelievable heights, scaled breathtaking buildings, jumped ridiculous distances and escaped danger countless times while riding his bike all in the name of exhilarating content.
Ryan began his channel six years ago when YouTube was a very different space. In this short time, he has demonstrated he’s a master of entertaining audiences on a global level, amassing a gigantic 1.8million subscribers to this YouTube channel and another half a million followers across Instagram.
He may have earned himself the reputation of being a bold and fearless stuntman, which is apparent in the sheer volume of content on his channel, but really what makes him stand out in space that's constantly seeking thrills is that he’s successfully leveraged his fandom to build a community that looks to put the world to rights.
Ryan is unapologetically loyal to his craft, dedicating his time and effort to ensuring the scene flourishes. In 2017, he invested in Collective Bikes, an independent and specialist bike manufacturer created by a group of young riders. Today he remains co-owner and CEO of the business. His entrepreneurship doesn’t stop there, however, having launched his clothing label Certified after his catchphrase Certi Fam, and which is now three collections deep. Because of his love and diligence, he’s made his name - from novice biker in his hometown Birmingham to a self-made mogul - with deep connections not only in the biking world but across music and entertainment.
Yet he’s never taken his position and lightly. He’s deeply involved in the bike life community as he understands the force it can be - especially to those who need support and empowerment. He mentors countless young riders from all walks of life, regularly donating bikes who don’t have them, holding workshops, weekly meet-ups known as ‘Swerve Sundays’, while organising and participating in frequent group rides where people from across the world meet up and cycle across specific routes.
Ryan’s work ethic is infectious, and his determination and positive mentally to his craft has often drawn comparisons to sports superstar Conor McGregor in his early days. As Ryan continues to build his career, he’s also set on inspiring the next generation as he’s committed to building a legacy that lasts forever.
